Who We Are

  

JCR Senior-2-Senior Connection Network is a non-profit organization. We are dedicated to assisting seniors maintain a quality of life and independence as they age. We place special emphasis on helping our mature members who may be socially isolated and physically or economically at risk. 


JCR Senior-2-Senior Connection Network serves as a social community and an educational and resource organization that focuses on issues that impact current and future retirees.


Our goal is to engage our senior community and promote partnerships by Communication, Collaboration, and a JCR Senior-2-Senior Connection.

 Our members enjoy our weekly inspirational and fun activities email. Plus, through our added resources, members also get to enjoy free programs sponsored by other area senior agency groups such as AARP, DACL, etc.

JCR Senior-2-Senior Connection Network will help our members to find a local senior community center where there’s great opportunities and potential possibilities to collaborate with other mature older adults by getting involved in local community engagements around DC. For instance, donating hats and gloves (example only) to other local DC senior communities, community shelters, or to Children’s Hospital for Sick Children.

Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers living in the District of Columbia can access free health insurance information, counseling, education, and assistance through our DC State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).


SHIP counselors are trained to get you the information you need and can work with you directly to understand the ins and outs of Medicare so you can make informed decisions about your healthcare and insurance coverage.


A SHIP Counselor can also assist you with resolving unpaid medical bills, making appeals for denials of medical services, and obtaining prescription medications. Connect with a counselor today at (202) 727-8370 to get your questions answered and better understand your coverage and options.
